HERMITAGE is a fusion of the sleek elegance of a champion racer and the timeless luxury of a classic sailing yacht. Like new courtesy of a 2023 refit of systems, engine, rigging and more, HERMITAGE offers modern luxury amid her rich maritime history. She was crafted in 1929 by the C.A. Morse shipyard, now Lyman-Morse, in Thomaston, Maine. This storied vessel, once known as SEA GYPSY, boasts a rich history that intertwines with World War II and the classic yachting renaissance of the 1960s. Having patrolled the coastal waters near Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and Block Island during the war, HERMITAGE later became a beacon of inspiration, igniting a resurgence in John Alden-styled schooners with her sleek lines and timeless aesthetic. Evolving gracefully from a gaff-rigged schooner to a staysail schooner in the 1980s, she continues to captivate. Following a comprehensive 2 million dollar refit spanning 2023-2024, HERMITAGE is in excellent condition. A mirrored layout on the starboard side offers additional accommodations. Forward of the salon, a final guest stateroom boasts a bright ambiance and a double bed with convenient access to the deck through the lazarette hatch.

To starboard is a second helm station ready for navigation and to port, a dedicated navigation station offers all the essential instruments and charts. Her custom on-deck dining forward of the pilot house offers panoramic views and beckons guests to enjoy alfresco dining.
