My Present
Hi, I’m Joe F. Foggia, Yacht Broker and New Construction Expert with Northrop & Johnson.
My Past
I grew up as an avid water sports enthusiast on Lake Oswego, the Columbia River and the pristine Oregon Coast. At age 15, I started working at Christensen Shipyards as a general laborer in various construction crafts. In 1990, I transitioned into yacht construction doing planning and purchasing before moving to project management. I continued to move up the ranks and in 1997, I became Vice President of operations. The founder, Dave Christensen, named me President and sales director of Christensen in 2001; I remained in this role until 2014. During my time at Christensen, I successfully guided the shipyard through multiple challenging recessions, numerous yacht product changes and refinements and added a system of total quality control, all of which helped the yard earn highest ranks in U.S. pedigree and sales for 2012, 2013 and 2014.
My Future
In my role with Northrop & Johnson, I use my vast yacht construction knowledge and sales experience to fuel my passion and ability to establish everlasting relationships with the world’s discerning yacht enthusiasts. My goal is to guide clients through the many challenges of buying and/or building a large superyacht whereby the end result is a happy owner with a yacht that is exactly to their parameters.
My Motto
Life happens after you make plans!
My Outside-office Life
I enjoy all types of watersports, downhill skiing, traveling the world and talking yachts. I reside in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and love water view properties where I can watch yachts go by.
