TULIP is a beautiful custom-built 88’ cruising sloop with naval architecture by German Frers. Her interior was designed by Sinot Yacht Design and she was built in aluminum by K&M Yachtbuilders in the Netherlands to a high-quality standard. TULIP has a modern performance hull with a plumb bow and counter stern, a sleek and timeless beauty. Designed and built for a very experienced Dutch owner, she has proven to be a true world cruiser and can be easily handled by a small crew with furling headsails, powered winches, lifting keel and bow-thruster. She has a clean uncluttered deck layout with a nice large cockpit area, a custom-made folding table for alfresco dining and the steering position featuring one large steering wheel. Frers came up with the ingenious idea of adjustable seats all around the steering wheel that rotate (electric hydraulic) inwards to hide for a flush deck when racing.

TULIP has a spacious interior layout, Sinot Yacht Design designed the interior which is finished in dark palisander wood in contrast with light smoked oak. Bulkheads (honeycomb for weight and insulation) are lined with oak and details such as coves and borders are made of dark rosewood. There is a raised deck salon midships with large, tinted windows and overhead centerline sunroof glazing entering lots of natural light. The salon area features comfortable seating areas to port and starboard port side, a zebrano wood table that lifts up, down, in and out electrically and a small navigation area forward. There is accommodation for six to eight guests in a full beam master cabin plus two comfortable guest cabins forward, all with a bathroom en-suite. The two guest cabins have an additional Pullman bed and can accommodate three guests each. The galley, crew mess and crew cabin for two are aft with excellent privacy.

TULIP is built for blue water cruising with all necessary equipment and systems on board, her first and present owner had the yacht custom-built to his requirements and to be sailed by a small crew. She is well soundproofed and insulated, making her remarkably silent and quiet, even with all systems running. The owner has done a rigorous maintenance schedule and upgrades to the yacht to keep her in absolute mint condition. A full overview of the maintenance and service history can be provided upon request.

TULIP has a sloop rig with Hall Spars carbon mast and boom, carbon rigging, hydraulic furlers for the headsails and a captive winch for the mainsail. All deck equipment and hydraulic winches are Harken. The yacht is fitted with a hydraulic lifting keel (up 3.2m – down 5.1m) and a Lewmar hydraulic bow thruster to maneuver in small berth spaces.

TULIP was built with no expenses spared and she is for sale now for the first time. She is a sleek and timeless beauty with a modern touch, having always been used privately by her owners, never chartered. TULIP presents in excellent condition after an extensive 10-year refit (winter 2022/2023) including a full exterior paint job and looks incredible. TULIP is ready to go!

Interior Description - Accommodations & Arrangement

GENERAL:
Dutch company Sinot Yacht Design designed the interior. Colours are bold while dark palisander wood contrasts with light smoked oak. Tulip is set up to sail with six guests and two crew. These areas are well separated with guest accommodations all forward, and the galley, mess, engine-room and crew cabin aft of the raised saloon.
Tulip is extremely well soundproofed and insulated, making her remarkably silent and quiet, even with all systems running. There's no problem at all to sleep with the engine running.

MAIN SALON:
The saloon is a leisure area with a card table, TV and library zones, plus a small chart table forward. The main feature is a zebrano wood table that lifts up & down, in and out electronically. The huge, slightly curved pilothouse windows provide good views and sunroof glazing over the entire central length ensures that plenty of daylight finds its way into the interior. Bulkheads (honeycomb for weight and insulation) are lined with oak and details such as coves and borders are made of dark rosewood.

MASTER CABIN:
A forward master cabin with bathroom ensuite was chosen for optimal privacy. The cabin is very spacious and includes a vast in-built closet hidden behind curved doors that blend into the bulkhead.

GUEST CABINS:
The two guest cabins forward of the saloon are split by the corridor and lifting keel box and have their own bathroom ensuite with heads and separate shower. The starboard guest cabin features a double bed plus pullman and the portside cabin features bunkbeds that can convert into a double, in such a way that each cabin can sleep three guests.

CREW ACCOMMODATION:
The crew cabin for two crew, with its own bathroom ensuite, is situated on portside aft and can be accessed through the galley and crew mess.

GALLEY & LAUNDRY:
The galley area is situated on starboard aft, a few steps down from the saloon and includes a crew mess aft. The galley area has plenty of workspace, a large window by the stove and an overhead hatch for added daylight and ventilation.

Galley & Laundry Equipment

Siemens gimballed 4-burner induction cooker and oven.
