UMIKO, the 80’ (24.38m) Nautor’s Swan, has taken the cruiser-racer concept to the next level since her 2000 delivery. She embodies speed, seaworthiness technology and innovation courtesy of Nautor’s famous build quality and craftsmanship. The yacht performs equally well on the racecourse as she does coastal cruising; UMIKO’s exceptional charter history makes her ideal for someone looking for a yacht with charter potential. The sailing yacht’s meticulous maintenance and multiple refits ensure she will be cruising for a long time.
As guests enter UMIKO’s main salon, they will be enveloped by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Her main salon is beautifully finished in varnished teak, giving the yacht a classic feel. A comfortable L-shaped sofa and three teak chairs with leather cushions surround the dedicated dining table to port. A smaller sofa is starboard with a coffee table, perfect for lounging after a day on the water. A small bar with a fridge, ice maker, and assorted bottle and glass holders makes mixing your favorite cocktail easy. UMIKO’s fully-equipped galley has plenty of space to move around and create meals onboard.
Six guests are welcome aboard in three well-appointed cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite is aft with a large centerline double bed. The cabin is spacious, with lots of room to walk around and plenty of storage space in drawers, hanging wardrobes and shelves. There are designated spaces to port and starboard with a desk and vanity with hinging stools. UMIKO’s further accommodations include a VIP cabin with a Pullman and a cabin with twin single bunks and a Pullman. En-suite bathrooms accompany each stateroom for maximum privacy and ample storage is seen in all cabins. UMIKO host up to three crewmembers.
The sailing yacht’s exterior deck spaces are uncluttered and functional. UMIKO’s timeless lines and sleek, efficient hull make her an iconic yacht. Her color palette of navy topsides, a gold boot stripe and white superstructure pays homage to the classic Swan heritage. The guest cockpit forward features a folding table that can be removed for racing. This area is ideal for entertainment and alfresco dining, surrounded by stunning scenery. UMIKO’s foredeck showcases mounts and cradles to store the 14’ (4.3m) tender.
Brokers’ comments
The 80 concept called for a light, fast, elegant and comfortable super yacht, taking the Cruiser / Racer concept to the next level - ‘Speed, seaworthiness, technology and innovation without compromise’.
UMIKO ((Ex-Conquistador, Ex-Astro, Ex-Maligaya) had an extensive refit in 2012-13. She was lightly cruised in the Balearics between 2014-18.
UMIKO sleeps up to 10 guests in 4 cabins when two crew live forward. However, 6 guest with 3 crew is recommended for maximum comfort and service.
Since August 2018, UMIKO has been incredibly successful with both cruising and racing charters in the Meditteranean and Caribbean. She has also had the benefit of numerous upgrades including AT instruments and race processor, Harken primary winches, 2018/2019 North3Di Sails, Fleet Broadband Sat Comm’s, new generator, new DC hydraulic pumps, etc.
Maintained to exacting standards this Swan will appeal to an owner looking for the very best, whether they wish to cruise, race, charter....or all of the above!
