Since Cantieri di Pisa opened its doors in 1945, the Italian shipyard has been responsible for the build of over 600 yachts ranging in size from 85 to 153 feet (26m – 47m). Continuously striving for quality, excellence and innovation, the success of Cantieri di Pisa is deeply rooted in the dedication and skill set of the of people who aligned their extraordinary craftsmanship with the yard in order to create the unique masterpieces now afloat. Simone Marconcini is leading the yard’s new management team, and he brings with him vast experience from roles at Nautor’s Swan, Logica Yachts and Mondomarine.
The yard is currently promoting its Akhir 108 and Akhir 118 models, with the exterior design having now been refreshed by Carlo Galeazzi. As well as a semi-custom production range and full-custom superyacht building ability, Cantieri di Pisa offers its customers a refit and repair service as well as after-sales assistance for maintenance and technical support.
Cantieri di Pisa is one of the oldest and most famous shipyards in Italy with over 70 years of activity. Established in 1945, the Cantieri di Pisa shipyard rose to fame during the 1960s, when it conceived a popular series of motor yachts named after the stars of the Eridanus constellation.
The shipyard was acquired by the Camuzzi Group in 2005 who, at the same time, purchased Baglietto. Unfortunately, Camuzzi succumbed to the world financial crisis which closely followed this purchase, and Cantieri di Pisa was closed in 2010.
In 2015, the shipyard was bought by Mondomarine and Luca Dini was hired to redesign the Akhir and Katalpha motor yacht series. When Mondomarine then went into liquidation, Cantieri di Pisa closed its doors yet again.
At the end of 2018, Cantieri di Pisa was acquired by Sea-Finance, a group of investors that includes Philippe Bacou; yacht owner and founder of the online yacht charter service, Yotha. The investment group handpicks companies in order to form strategic partnerships, and their mission for Cantieri di Pisa is to continue evolving the yard’s tradition, comfort and innovation while building the best quality yachts possible.
Cantieri di Pisa’s existing mechanics, carpenters, architects and technicians were retained, many of whom have over 20 years of experience at the yard, and new partners will be integrated that provide the latest innovative solutions, adopting contemporary processes & organization models in line with the highest international standards, assuring the high quality and design that always defined Cantieri di Pisa.

Cantieri di Pisa developed a reputation for constructing some of the finest production superyachts ever to be built in Italy. The yard is currently promoting its Akhir 108 and Akhir 118 models, with the Akhir’s exterior design having now been refreshed by Carlo Galeazzi.
Built in GRP, the Akhir 118 offers a spacious flybridge with sunbathing, barbecue and dining areas, a large aft deck with al fresco dining area and there is also a recessed bank of seating on the bow. Capable of a 27-knot top speed, the Akhir 118 series are a highly desirable tri-deck motor yacht design.
Each Cantieri di Pisa yacht is built individually, in collaboration with the client to reflect their specific tastes and expectations.
