My Present
I am Deniz Kaymaz, a Turkish native and trained Marine Engineer from Istanbul, Turkey. I was born in a coastal city on the Black Sea. Since my youth, I have been passionate about the oceans and anything related to them. This includes helping my clients find suitable yachts, both technically and aesthetically sound, anywhere in the world.
My technical and analytical approach to yacht construction and refit, my marine engineering and naval architectural education, and my knowledge of sales and marketing ensure I am a top yacht player in Turkey's yachting scene.
My Past
My background covers all aspects of yachting, from production to sales and marketing — I have organized boat shows, including those in Monaco, Cannes, Genoa, Croatia, Slovenia, Barcelona, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Newport and Minneapolis — to executive shipyard management positions in Turkey. I have approximately 16 years of experience in the construction and sales of artisanal Cold-molded mahogany construction to advanced Composite construction to Steel and Aluminum vessels ranging from 12 mt up to 85mt.
I sharpened my skills in new build and refit support, management, and contract negotiations during my time spent in yacht construction — I worked on one of the biggest yachts launched in Turkey, the 85M Victorious — in sales and marketing, management. My experience was spent in Turkey and the US; I spent six years in New Orleans and Fort Lauderdale. As such, I have developed valuable market intelligence within Turkey.
My Future
In the future, I would like to become one of the most trusted and sought-after yacht brokers in the field.
