ISA Yachts is a comparatively new name amongst the international list of superyacht shipyards but their young corporate heritage is belied by their impressive number of completed builds, many of which have already become icons of the worldwide superyacht fleet.
The ISA shipyard is located in Ancona, Italy, and was opened in 2001 by the Rodriguez Group. There are four sheds on site and a workforce in excess of 100 people.
Established to serve the growing custom superyacht market, the yard delivered an incredible 28 superyachts within its first 12 years of operation. Building in aluminum and fiberglass, ISA Yachts constructs motor yachts between 145 and 263 feet (44 – 80m) in length.
Every ISA superyacht is uniquely designed to her owner’s briefs, and is built using the highest technology, the best quality materials and the finest furnishings and finishes.
Dedicated to progressive, forward-thinking design and building with only the finest quality materials, using the most advanced technology, ISA Yachts has become an enviable icon of excellence.
The ISA shipyard was opened in 2001 by the Rodriguez Group and is located in Ancona, Italy. Ancona is a city on Italy’s Adriatic coast and the capital of the Marche region.
In 2016, ISA was acquired by the Palumbo Group. Palumbo Superyachts comprises a representative office in Monaco and a logistic network of five shipyards across the Mediterranean (Ancona, Napoli, Malta, Savona and Marseille) operating five world-renowned brands. As well as ISA, the Palumbo Superyachts network also includes Columbus Yachts and Mondomarine.
The Palumbo Group became a member of the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss) in 2017. 2017 was an important year for ISA Yachts, and also marked the first time an ISA-built superyacht was exhibited in the USA, with a yacht on-show at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Today this Italian shipyard builds, services and refits luxury yachts and superyachts. ISA Yachts pride themselves on their efficiency and on-time deliveries. ISA Yachts also operate a marina facility at the shipyard in Ancona.
Quality has always been at the heart of an ISA project. This is where the ability to create tailor-made dreams comes from.
The yard’s largest build to date is the 216-foot (66m) OKTO (previously named GRANTURISMO). Designed by Andrea Vallicelli, this imposing superyacht has been turning heads since her delivery in 2014. Fusing engineering expertise with creativity, OKTO raised the bar of superyacht design significantly.
Another notable build in the ISA Yachts stable is the 179-foot (54.65m) FOREVER ONE. Designed by Horacio Bozzo with Axis Group Yacht Design developing the naval architecture, FOREVER ONE is distinctly recognizable thanks to her white hull with red waterline stripe and detailing. FOREVER ONE can accommodate 12 guests in 5 suites, and has an interior designed by Studio Massari.
During 2019, the yard’s 148-foot (45m) GranTurismo model became extremely popular, with multiple vessels placed on order. This motor yacht has a streamlined exterior profile and takes the shipyard approximately 24 months to complete.
The yard’s ‘Extra’ range is also a popular line with multiple units sold. Ranging from 76 feet to 130 feet, this series of motor yachts have the largest volume of any yacht in the same class and boast an optimised fuel efficiency.
